You don’t need to go through retrenchment alone

Big life changes like retrenchment can be stressful, especially when it comes to managing finances. We know that it can be hard to find practical financial support when people need it most. That’s why we have developed a customised financial education program for people facing retrenchment.

    What's included?

Each of the six modules provide simple tips and tools to make a real difference in people’s financial wellbeing during the retrenchment process.

Module 1: Retrenchment: What do I need to know?
Covers what you need to understand and what you can do to take control of your immediate circumstances in the retrenchment process.

Module 2: Where can I go for financial support?
Explains how to make your money last and the organisations and services that offer help before, during and after retrenchment.

Module 3: What do I need to know about Centrelink?
Details the income support available from Centrelink while you are looking for work, studying or training.

Module 4: How do I take care of my health and wellbeing?
Covers helpful wellbeing strategies and provides guidance around where you can get help.

Module 5: How do I get job ready?
Includes the key points to think about and considerations to factor in when getting ready for a new job or career.

Module 6: Where do I look for a new job?
Provides information on different opportunities to look into and tips on how to better manage your finances once you return to work. Puts you in touch with online resources that can help streamline your job search.
