  • VicSuper's Expanded Financial Planning Service
    VicSuper's Expanded Financial Planning Service

    At VicSuper we have a long history in providing members with personalised super advice, but we know that setting yourself up financially relates to more than your superannuation investments. We’ve now expanded our advice service to provide individual financial guidance on a range of non-super issues and investments.

    We’re here to help for super and non-super issues and investments.

    Our financial planners can now help you out with guidance on a number of financial topics, especially if you wish to:
    • Build your wealth or plan for retirement;
    • Consider working part-time and transition into retirement;
    • Protect your family and/or your assets if you can’t work, are disabled or die;
    • Change careers or jobs;
    • Start a family or buy a home;
    • Consider your options if you’ve received an inheritance;
    • Plan your estate;
    • Better manage your budget, tax planning and cash flow;
    • Ensure your redundancy package is invested wisely.

  • How does the service work?
    Primarily, we offer you a no obligation conversation where we can take you through the various financial planning solutions we can offer. In this initial conversation, we’ll let you know the fee for the type of financial planning we think you’ll require.

    Simple advice
    Single topic advice on:
    • Superannuation contributions.
    • Basic Centrelink calculation/advice.
    • Review and re-adjustment of superannuation contributions or asset allocation.

    Standard Advice
    Advice on more involved financial topics such as:
    • Non-superannuation and tax effective investment strategies with product recommendations.
    • Assessment of existing superannuation providers and determining appropriate retirement savings vehicle, with limited superannuation strategies.
    • Strategic non-product based financial advice such as cash flow, relocation, redundancy and review of previous financial advice recommendations.

    Complex advice
    Advice that looks at your entire financial position via a tailored and inter-related set of recommendations such as:
    • Saving for retirement including SMSF’s.
    • Growing and protecting your wealth through your lifecycle.
    • Insurance analysis and product recommendations.
    • Tax structures and asset ownership.
    • Meeting your retirement objectives.
    • Moving into Aged Care.
    • Estate Planning.

    Following this chat, we’ll get to work on creating your financial plan. This will be presented to you and you’ll have some time to review and ask any questions. We’ll then set you up with another meeting with your financial planner to implement the plan.
