Celebrating National Reconciliation Week

National Reconciliation Week is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.

We recognise that better relationships between the broader Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples must be grounded in a foundation of truth. For VicSuper, this means building our awareness about the lived experiences of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to foster better relationships with our members, stakeholders and community.

This year, we invited Neville Jetta to speak at a special event at our Melbourne Advice Centre, sharing his personal story and experience as a proud Noongar man playing AFL.

With the launch of our Reconciliation Action Plan, we remain committed to build engagement and raise awareness within the VicSuper team as well as to work with others in our industry, governments and the wider community to address the challenges that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander members face when it comes to their super savings.
