Keep Australia Beautiful Victoria Tidy Towns finalists announced

VicSuper is proud to sponsor the Keep Australia Beautiful Victoria (KABV) Tidy Towns - Sustainable Communities Awards. These awards recognise positive actions taken by communities in rural and regional areas to protect and enhance their local environments. They encompass initiatives as diverse as litter prevention, recycling, protection of the environment, preserving heritage, community action and leadership and environmental sustainability programs.

The KABV Tidy Towns Awards celebration event will be held Saturday 11 October 2014 at the home of last year’s winner, Wangaratta. The weekend will be filled with activities and Wangaratta will showcase not only its sustainability projects but many other unique community offerings.

The category winners and the Tidy Town of the year will be announced at the awards dinner and celebration to be held at the Wangaratta Performing Arts Centre (WPAC). Former ABC radio personality Derek Guille will host the evening, Derek was a popular presenter of the evening show on ABC across Victoria.

The awards ceremony provides the perfect opportunity for community groups, councils and volunteers from across Victoria to celebrate their projects and stories and to recognise their collective commitment to keeping Victoria beautiful.
