VicSuper's fee structure

VicSuper is committed to providing our members with quality superannuation services with a low fee structure.

Management fee - deducted from your account

We charge no entry or exit fees, and there are no fees to make contributions, make withdrawals or rollovers, or change your investment options.

The table below outlines the fees charged to VicSuper Fund members:

VicSuper's management fee is 0.5% pa of your average account balance over the year, and is deducted at 30 June (or when you close your account). This fee is capped at $1,500 pa per account once your average account balance over the year is $300,000 or more.

Externally managed investment cost

The 'externally managed investment' cost represents the management cost deducted by some external investment managers of unlisted investment trusts before the investment income is received by VicSuper Fund. The externally managed investment costs can vary from year to year. A performance fee of approximately $2,879,033 was payable to the manager of one trust during 2009/10. The fee was deducted by the manager of that trust from the investment return before it was received by VicSuper.

Common fund cost

The 'common fund cost' represents the management and administration expenses paid from the general reserve account during the year. The common fund cost for the 2009/10 financial year was approximately 0.036% of VicSuper Fund's average net assets.
